OBJECTIVES AND SCOPE
The main objective of the Nile Water science & Engineering Journal is to offer a platform for members of the Nile Basin Capacity Building Network (NBCBN) to disseminate their research output in the field of river engineering to the scientific and public and private professionals and communities active in the Nile basin at local, regional and international level.

It aims at raising awareness of the Nile Basin countries on the scientific and technical issues related to the development and management of water resources within the Nile basin.

A special focus is on young researchers from the basin to enhance their research skills through publications.

In addition to these topics the output of the multi-disciplinary research modalities running under the NBCBN network will also be covered:In addition to these topics the output of the multi-disciplinary research modalities running under the NBCBN network will also be covered:

The main topics covered by the Nile Water Science and Engineering Journal are directly related to the NBCBN research fields, being:
  1. GIS and modeling applications in river engineering
  2. River morphology
  3. Flood management
  4. Environmental aspects of river engineering
  5. River structures
  6. Hydropower development
In addition to these topics the output of the multi-disciplinary research modalities running under the NBCBN network will also be covered:

(i) Impact of climate change on water systems, and
(ii) Management of water scarcity

Also, the journal is open for publications presenting the outputs of the research activities related to the water resources development in the Nile basin elaborated by the network members.
